The Approach: How I Think

I am a business consultant first,
and a marketer second.

Just because you come to me asking for a website, a logo, or a social media campaign does not mean that is what your business needs. I start deeper. I break down the entire business to determine where the profit sits, which offering merits investment, which customer segments it serves, and why they should choose you. Marketing is the last step, not the first.

№ 01
Break down the business
Break it down

Before any creative work begins, I take a clear-eyed assessment of the business. What are you trying to accomplish? What is standing in the way? Which services are profitable, and which consume time without generating adequate return? I focus on profit, not vanity metrics. Strong top-line numbers mean little if nothing reaches the bottom line.

№ 02
Find the profit
Prioritize the profit

Not every product, service, or idea deserves the same attention. I identify where the revenue actually originates, determine which offering carries the strongest margin, and develop it properly before investing in its promotion. Directing more leads into an unprofitable offer only compounds the problem.

№ 03
Define your customer segments
Know the buyer

Your customer is not "everyone." I identify the specific person whose problem your most profitable product solves: what they value, what they fear, where they spend time, and what will move them to act. The clearer the customer, the sharper the strategy.

№ 04
Sharpen the USP
become the only logical choice

Your unique selling proposition is not a slogan. It is the intersection of what your customer needs, what your business does exceptionally well, and what your competitors cannot easily claim. Every visual, word, campaign, and experience should grow from it.

№ 05
Deliver the message directly
Meet them where they are

Only after the business, offer, customer, and message are clear do I begin marketing. This is where the creativity comes in. I turn brand icon systems into custom coloring books, float logo balloons at eye level through a crowded festival, shoot a grand-opening film from a dog's point of view, and build partnerships where everyone promotes everyone. No generic playbook, no marketing theater, just ideas designed around your exact business and customer.

I start with your profit goal and build backward into the strategy that gets you there, never the other way around.
Relationships, not speed
deep beats fast

Plenty of agencies sell warp-speed timelines. I am not one of them, and that is deliberate. I keep my client list small enough to genuinely know every business on it. I learn the town, the customers, the numbers, the history, and the people behind the company. The most effective ideas do not come from a briefing document and a 48-hour turnaround. They come from relationships deep enough to reveal the opportunity nobody else can see.

I have sat in your chair
operator, not observer

I earned my degree from SMU's Cox School of Business, then spent more than a decade as an owner and operator. I have served as managing partner of two healthcare companies, worked in real estate development through North Peak Property Group, helped launch startups, and now serve as VP of Georgia for Motor-Vault. When I talk about profit, margins, payroll, risk, and growth, it is because I have made those decisions with my own money, reputation, and future on the line.

I am a business consultant who executes marketing,
not a marketer guessing at business strategy.
